What could be better than taking a walk, reading a book, and making a Father’s Day gift?  This StoryWalk® features a new book by OUL’s library director, Judy Carey Nevin.  The book, What Daddies Like, features a doting bear father and his little bear cub as they go through their day doing things they BOTH like to do.

Visitors will follow a designated path where they read the book as they go. The book is displayed along with some activities to carry the walkers from one stop to the next (for example:  “hop like a kangaroo to the next stop”).

The walk will end with a read-aloud from a children’s librarian from Fairfield County Main Branch library.  Participants will make a Father’s Day craft and meet the author.

Appropriate for families with young children as well as older siblings. Judy will be available to sign visitors’ books.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration the Kellogg Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
